Breaking News: PC5 comes to America
Port Charlotte's PC 5 is on the way to the US.
Only 200 cases will be available starting this August, with an SRP of $120 a bottle, and distribution will likely be clustered in Chicago & New York.
When PC 6 makes its appearance, there should be at least twice the number of available cases.
And in a coup, Wyatt-Zier (current Compass Box importers) has landed the importation contract for Port Charlotte whiskies (Bruichladdich whiskies are currently imported by WineBow - who will retain importation rights to that label.)

Hello,
did you really mean the PC5 and not the PC6 in your headline?
best regards

Hi Dominick,
No, I meant PC5.
While it HAS been available in Europe, it's only now getting to America. PC6 has not been released yet anywhere, but it's on the horizon as PC5 was announced last September.

Hi,
but is that going to be the same bottling of PC 5 that was available in Europe last year? Or are they going to create another and therefore new PC5 for America?
Best regards
Martin

My *understanding* is that this is the last of the PC5 bottling released last year.

I tried the PC6 at the distillery last week, in a graduated cylinder handed to me by Jim no less. It is very good, a good improvement over PC5 (western Canada got some last year, though none in Ontario). It's basically PC5 with another year in ex-madeira casks.

We will be getting 50 cases of PC6 by October 2007. We had the PC5 last year and sold out in less than a week

Hi Scotch gurus, I'm looking at trying to find a classic brand for gifts for the holidays. Any thoughts?
